• Director of Wednesday evening activities for family supper and children’s program.
• Children's ministries director.
• Sunday school staff coordinator, including attendance tracking.
• Teacher training coordinator.
• Nursery oversight.
Resource duties:
• Worship assistant backup.
• Overall volunteer coordinator for the church.
• Cokesbury purchasing agent.
• Family ministries resource.
• Educational supplies resource/purchaser.
• Teacher & Student recognition coordinator.
• Children's sermons participant.
• Worship attendance tracking.
• Manage a small library of resource materials.
Congregational Care duties:
• Maintain hospital, hospice, nursing home and shut-in roster.
• Conduct and coordinate visits.
• Arrange for wellness checks approx. four times per year.
• Coordinate meals for church households in temporary need.
• Coordinate transportation for shut-ins as required.
General Duties:
• Attend weekly worship planning meetings with the pastor and music director.
• Attend whole-staff meetings as called by the pastor.
This position is set for the rest of 2008 at 25 hours per week, including Sunday morning hours. The church hopes to transition this position to full time over the next two years.

Job description:
• Principal worship assistant, including liturgist, for Sunday services at 8:30 and 11 a.m.
• Direct UMY activities on Sunday evenings and Wednesday nights, plus special events and trips. Arrange for youth participation in worship services.
• Order youth-related curriculum.
• Coordinate youth program volunteers.
• Integrate technology into worship and carry out or manage web site presence, electronic media, computer-generated print media and church-wide publicity, including coordinating volunteers for those purposes.
• Attend worship planning meetings with the pastor and music director.
• Attend whole-staff meetings as called by the pastor.
This position is set for the rest of 2008 at 20 hours per week. The church hopes to transition this position to full time over the next two years. Recognizing that 20 hours per week is only half time, Sango understands that this staff member may wish other employment. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The Tennessee Conference United Methodist Church Committee on Camp and Retreat Ministries is seeking a person of deep faith and commitment to be primarily responsible for planning, implementing, and directing the 2009 Tennessee Conference Summer Camp Program for Children and Youth. This person should have a working knowledge of United Methodist beliefs and practices. This person also needs to have an understanding of program development within a team setting, curriculum development, registration procedures, and staff recruitment, and be able to effectively promote camps throughout the conference. The Director of Summer Camp Program is also expected to be present full time at Summer Camp, to direct summer staff, and to give overall leadership for all matters pertaining to the summer camp program.
