First United Methodist Church of Franklin, TN is seeking a candidate to serve as a part-time staff member of the church and be responsible for creating and overseeing the churches comprehensive communications strategy.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and maintain all branding materials along with the church website, e-mail correspondence, printed materials (newsletters, brochures, etc.)
• Oversee the research and writing of communications content
• Work with designers to develop various interactive and print communication materials along with handling some graphic design needs in-house
• Write press releases and create a communication procedures manual for the church.
Required Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
• Extensive writing and editing skills
• An understanding of the web and e-mail marketing
• Ability to use a digital camera
• Design skills including experience with InDesign and Photoshop

The Director of Children and Family Ministries will find innovative ways to help children grow in Christian discipleship through the church's educational ministries and through the worship life of Madison Street United Methodist Church. This staff person will provide support to and work collaboratively with a large staff and various lay teams to coordinate all aspects of Madison Street's programs for children and families.
