Director of Technology, Fellowship United Methodist Church, Murfreesboro District

Fellowship Church is a growing church looking for a dynamic person to direct and oversee our technical ministries. We are looking for an individual who is seeking to combine technology with ministry. Qualified candidates must be spiritually mature and able to lead a volunteer technical team and provide leadership, nurture, care and encouragement to the team.

Responsibilities will include management of Fellowship's technical ministries, training of volunteers for sound, video, lighting, and oversight of all technical aspects of weekend and mid-week worship services. Responsibilities will also include management of graphic and web design teams, and computer support for Fellowship staff.

Candidates should have extensive computer knowledge, basic networking knowledge and an aptitude for learning new technologies and software. Candidates should also have a musical ear and have knowledge of the principles of sound engineering, must work well with people and have good administrative skills.

Director of Children and Family Ministries, Tennessee Conference Office of Connectional Ministries

The Tennessee Conference of the United Methodist Church is taking applications for the fulltime position of Director of Children and Family Ministries. The applicant should have experience in developing leaders of children and family ministries in the local church and beyond. The applicant should be a deeply committed Christian who exhibits a Christ-like attitude, willingness to give witness to their faith, and willingness to model servant leadership. It is desirable that the applicant have a working knowledge of the structure and ministry of the United Methodist Church.

All Connectional Ministries program staff must be willing to develop, promote, and implement program and training opportunities that will enhance the quest to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. The Director of Children and Family Ministries will work with the Connectional Ministries staff in enhancing ministry in local churches, districts, and conference.

The candidate should exhibit a passion for local church witness ministries, and a thirst to reach beyond the church walls to bring children an understanding of how they can help transform the world.

Being bi-lingual is desirable.

First United Methodist Church, Murfreesboro, has several job openings in its preschool including Director of Preschool and Extended Care, Accountant

First United Methodist Preschool will be taking applications for the following positions:

Director of Preschool and Extended Care:
This is a full time staff position, working twelve months per year, forty hours per week. Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree (preferably in Early Childhood Education or a related field), three years experience in preschool education, good management and interpersonal skills. Experience with the National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale (ECERS) is beneficial.

Accountant:
This is a part time position, working approximately two days per month. Candidates should have a degree in accounting or a related field. Experience with Peachtree Accounting System is beneficial.

Lead Teachers:
Candidates should have a degree In Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field. Previous experience working with preschool children is also beneficial. Hours are 7:30 A.M. - 2:30, Monday through Friday, August through May.

Teacher Assistants:

Director of Elementary Ministries for Brentwood United Methodist Church

The responsibilities for this position:

+To provide oversight and implementation of ministries to Elementary age Children and their families including Sunday school, camps and special events.
+Oversee Sunday school for 1st through 4th grades including volunteer recruitment and training, curriculum selection and registration.
+Create and develop special opportunities for 1st through 4th grade in faith development and Christian education.
+Develop opportunities for summer camping experiences.
+Work with children’s ministry staff in comprehensive plan for faith formation for all children and their families.

Director of Highway 56, the 5th and 6th grade/pre-teen ministry of Brentwood United Methodist Church

This person will be responsible for directing, organizing, and managing the 5th and 6th grade/ “pre-teen” ministry of the churc h. Programming includes Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night in addition to special field trips and events. Will also support children outside the church (i.e., soccer games, recitals, lunch visits). Candidates should have a love for older children and must be able to communicate to students and parents effectively.
