Position Title: Director of Children and Family Ministries

Job Description: To provide direction and leadership to the Sunday school and Wednesday evening program ministries of the church for all children from birth through the fifth grade, and to work collaboratively with a large church program staff and various lay teams coordinating all aspects of the church programs for children and families.

Responsibilities and Duties:
*Provide direction and leadership to Sunday school and Nursery (birth through 5th grade)
*Coordinate all services and events relating to children’s education in the church
*Provide vision and leadership to the Stewards of the Children and Family Council in planning mission, outreach, service and opportunities for fellowship for the children and families of the church.
*Supervise the infant and toddler care program
*Oversee, coordinate and resource our church pre-school program Tues. – Thurs.

Qualifications: Mature Christian faith, preferably United Methodist denomination; Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education or Early Childhood/Elementary Education; experience in children’s ministries; sincere commitment to children and their families; developing a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ; excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as proficient computer skills; willingness to eagerly welcome visitors and members into our church home; ability to conduct oral presentations and training sessions; commitment to continuing education and professional development; be organized to meet deadlines and possess creativity and resourcefulness to complete large scale projects.
