Blakemore and West Nashville United Methodist Churches are seeking a qualified and experienced person to lead in youth ministry. This full time position, shared between the two churches, is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to serve God as you model to youth your experience with God. The primary goals are to help the youth of BUMC and WNUMC grow in faith through fellowship, service, spiritual formation, and to build strong personal relationships with youth to offer friendship and guidance when needed.

This person reports to Associate General Secretary, Division on Ministries with Young People (DMYP)
Essential Functions: Establishes and implements a strategy for enhancing Youth Ministry within the United Methodist Church world-wide by equipping youth and adults who work with youth for effective leadership, providing models for ministry, and resources to develop youth disciples.
Requirements: Position requires the incumbent to have demonstrated knowledge in youth ministries and youth culture; profound sense of importance of ministry with youth as primary center for faith formation; demonstrated knowledge of youth culture and ministry, including racial ethnic young people; knowledge of and experience with youth workers; knowledge of Christian education and empowerment of young people in Christian community; proficiency in writing and resource development skills; thorough knowledge of UMC structure, traditions, and theological perspectives; interpersonal skills; proficiency in communications skills, written and oral; demonstrated cultural sensitivity, computer and electronic media skills. Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two to four years of related experience in local church; some experience in conference level leadership in ministries with young people preferred.

Donelson Presbyterian Church is looking for a part-time Director of Christian Education
Donelson Presbyterian Church has been without a Christian Educator since August 2005. The church has "soul searched" while paring down a full-time position to part-time and is ready for a special person to enrich the life of it's members. We have wonderfully faithful lay persons currently envolved with this ministry. They are passionate about the nurture of our church and will be a real support to the individual that accepts this position.
